UNFINISHED is a generosity discipleship initiative. We desire to discover new things about how Jesus calls us to live and to allow ourselves to be changed and challenged to respond.
The primary goal of UNFINISHED is that everyone who calls Christ’s Church home will engage in this journey, which means being together each Sunday Sept 8th-Oct 6th, participating in a Life Group, and asking God what He wants to grow in you.
Why? Because we believe in the power of an initiative like this to impact our entire life. There is nothing more transformative than experiencing God doing something IN each of us and THROUGH all of us.
Secondary Goal
$8.5 Million Over 2 Years
01/ UNFINISHED PEOPLE
$2 million a year comes to CCoF through generosity toward our general fund. This would equate to $4 million over two years. Our general budget is anything but general. Amazing things happen and peoples’ lives are changed through ministries like Kids, Middle School, High School, Sunday Worship, Life Groups, The Corner and various mission trips. These funds also provide regular financial support for 21 missions agencies and 7 local agencies.
02/ UNFINISHED CHURCH
As each of us continue to grow as a Follower of Jesus, we also each know someone who isn’t connected to God or His family - our One. One of the most critical needs our church faces is more space to connect with our Ones when they attend an event or Sunday service. An additional $4 million over two years will provide approximately 6,000 sq ft of new space to connect with each other and our Ones. This project is the next step to fully develop the property that God has provided CCoF for the purpose of connecting 1 in 4 people in Northern Arizona to Him.
03/ UNFINISHED MISSION
Since 1984 our church has sacrificed so that others could hear the Good News of Jesus. Locally: In 2019 we took a big risk and purchased a building adjacent to NAU. Today The Corner isn’t just a beautiful building but a ministry that impacts hundreds of students every week during the season of life in which most young adults stop following Jesus. Internationally: Since 1986 we have partnered with IberoAmerican Ministries. Today God is using them to raise up Latin Americans to take the Good News to the Muslim world. $500,000 over two years would pay off the Corner property mortgage and fund special projects for our international partners’ efforts for many years to come.
What is a One Fund?
You may have been a part of church campaigns in the past during which you were asked to give a second gift ‘above and beyond’ your usual gifts to make special initiatives like new buildings and new ministries possible.
Normally, you gave that gift to the ‘Building Fund’ and you also continued to give offerings to the ‘General Fund.’ This type of giving is potentially confusing to people who either don’t have a baseline for their “usual giving” or who aren’t able to really celebrate the total giving they are engaging in at CCoF in one single number. We believe that it’s all ONE MISSION that we’re on at CCoF. So we as leadership have decided that our gifts to CCoF go into one fund, even in these seasons of ministry expansion – to celebrate the totality of our generosity growth as disciples of Jesus.
The UNFINISHED initiative will last for two years. In those two years, every gift that is given to Christ’s Church will go to the key components of this initiative – our UNFINISHED People (our general ministry budget over two years), our UNFINISHED Church (our capital project expansion), and our UNFINISHED Mission (paying off our Corner property mortgage and funding special projects for our International Mission Partners).
How do I join the journey?

Pray that God would multiply our efforts to make disciples and make an impact for the Kingdom. Participate in the Neighborhood Prayer Walk & Day of Fasting for UNFINISHED. Pray that He would do the impossible, through our prayer walk and fasting, for all things are possible with God. See pages 62-63 for details.

Help us reach our goal of 100% engagement with UNFINISHED by being open to participating and hearing from God in this season. Commit to do what God calls you to do.

Own the UNFINISHED vision and become an ambassador for it within your spheres of influence. Engage with the sermon and Life Group materials and invite those you know at CCoF to join you. Make plans in advance to engage in the upcoming events. See page 40 for details.

Ask God to begin to reveal to you what it looks like to give in a way that challenges and changes you and to take whatever bold steps are required to see it through.
